(AZ) Easter happenings this week around the valley

Bookmans is having a FREE Easter egg hunt in Mesa, 1056 S. Country Club-Hunt for colorful eggs-bring an Easter basket to load with goodies (Mesa) Other Bookmans locations participating as well.

FREE Family Easter Celebration 9am-noon On Saturday at the Snedigar recreation Center located at 4500 S Basha Rd (Chandler)

The Easter Pageant in Mesa is going on this week as well, evenings at 8:00. 525 East Main St (Mesa)

The Phoenix Children's Museum has FREE Admision Friday, April 2nd from 6pm-10pm. It's really fun and crowded. (Phoenix) Cancelled because of Easter (there's always next month)

The Bass Pro Shop in Mesa has a an Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday and Sunday 2pm-3pm-it's located in the same shopping center as the new Yodipity Yogurt shop. (Thanks KC)

(AZ) Bookmans-$50 contest, Dr Seuss' birthday

Enter Bookmans "Love of Reading contest"and you could win a $50 gift certificate. Go to your nearest Bookmans and fill out a form nominating your favorite book and tell us how it inspired your love of reading, OR you can e-mail your entries to loveofreading@bookmans.com. You're invited to celebrate the beloved author Dr. Seuss' 106th birthday with Bookmans! All ages are welcome to come enjoy refreshments, games, crafts and Seuss story time!

(AZ) Halloween Festivities Bookmans

Bookmans Phoenix: Saturday, Oct. 17th, 2-4 p.m.Kids Halloween Carnival featuring games, prizes, and treats!
Bookmans Grant (in Tucson):
Saturday, Oct. 24th, 2-4 p.m.Ghastly games, tricky treats, and creepy crafts! All ages are welcome to join in the fun, and anyone who wears a costume gets a discount!
Bookmans Mesa:
Saturday, Oct. 24th, 2-4 p.m.Kids Halloween Carnival featuring games, prizes, and treats!
Bookmans Flagstaff:
Sunday, Oct. 25th, 2-4 p.m.Halloween mask-making, scary cookie contest, and all kids 14 and under in costume get a $10 off coupon.


From someone that has lived in Flagstaff, Tucson, and Phoenix (and been to Bookman's in each of these), I have to say it is a great place to buy or trade books, music, electronics, and the list goes on. They have Story Time AND Sing, Sign & Play for the little ones.
